Questions
I
would like to ask a few questions regarding with the Islam and Buddhism
differences. This is my first time to ask a question. Kindly please
forgive me if there are mistakes. I would like to request that please
answer to me in English. It is because the person who asked me about
Buddhism is Forigner and I could not translate some of the terms of
Burmese Parli into English. My Islamic Friends always ask me about
Buddha and I could not translate or explain to him.
Islam belive that the earth, moon, sun, day & night, animals, human and everythings are created by Allah. My Muslim Friend asked me that
1. If we (Buddhism) belive that what we do, is what we get (kan kan ei a kyo) then in this case, who create human, earth, moon and everything? How these things appear? I could not answer his question. I told him that our Buddha is not creator. I am so sad that I could not explain to him in English although I am Buddhism. I had read that in burmeseclassic.com, one of the post answers is if Allah is a creator of everyone; there has a some one who create Allah. It is because everything is happening like a circle. I explain to my friend that everything is like a circle and I asked him there should be someone who creates Allah. He said "No" and I could not explain more to him.
2. I told him killing animal is sin. He asked why I am eating meat if I said killing animal is sin? And he said animals are created by Allah for all the human to eat. Therefore, it is no sin. I told him, we did not kill the animal. However, there are people who selling the meat. Therefore, we buy and we eat. If the people are not selling meat, we are not going to eat meat at all. But he said somehow it is indirect way we are encouraging to kill the animal and we are getting sin. I am so confuse that am I getting sin because of I am eating meat? How can I explain to him?
3. What Buddhism Believe? (How can I answer this question to non Buddhist person? I told him we belive in Buddha Teaching and practices. Then he asked me what those are. It is really hard for me to explain)
4. Who is the Buddha? (I told him the Buddha is one of the human and he borned and he died. But he found the universal truth. And then my friend asked if he is human like us why u are giving worship to him? Does he have any power? Sayardaw pa yar! I do not know how to explain in English. What do I understand in English is Buddha has power and when he met with Da wa dat, he show fire, water comes out from nose and mouth at the same time. Could you please explain to me properly in terms with English? And also in order to become a Buddha, he has to pass many lifes and finally he can be the Buddha. Oh. I really could not explain although I understand in Burmese)
Sayadaw Pa yar! I am asking this question is I do not want to give wrong idea of Buddhist or Buddhism to some one who is enthusiastic to know about Buddhism. I really want to explain to him very well. Now I am trying to read "The Teachings of The Buddha" (Basic Level) by Ministry of Religious Affairs. However, many of the word written in Sanskrit and it is hard to understand. Therefore, I really appreciate if Sayardaw Pa Yar can answer my questions.
I am staying at United Arab Emirates and most of the people here is Muslim and I do not have Buddhist friends here who I can disucss or ask in English. Kindly allow me to ask more questions in future.
Please forgive me to write with "I, you, he, or she"

ANSWERS
1. No one creates human, the earth, the moon and everything because that is nature in the world. As long as the moon and sun have not arisen in the world, so long as there is nothing shining forth a great light of great radiance. There prevails gross darkness. Later when the moon and the sun rise in the world, then a great light of great radiance shine forth and gross darkness is not in the world the months, the half-moon and the seasons of years are.
For example about creation that If your parents don’t sleep together or don’t blend their blood you will not be able a human. In this way, other everything is the result of their own past and present actions. That’s why we ourselves are responsible for our own happiness and misery. We create our own Heaven. We create our own Hell. We are the architects of our own fate. All living beings have actions (Karma) as their own, their inheritance, their congenital cause, their refuge. It is Karma that differentiates beings into low and high states.
2. When we are really necessary for survival we are allowed to eat meat but you obviously don’t say one should kill an animal. You are harmful to humans and animals yourself or someone has said to doing if you are going to feel negative fate. According to the needs of our body for health we should eat meat some time because I think that we will not be surviving for a long time with vegetable. That’s why, you haven’t been hard-working to death the animal and if you haven’t wanted to die you will probably eat meat. Some people don’t eat meat but they are not honest. That is better than dishonest one. If universal people refrain from eating meat, it will be more peaceful the universe.
3. When we throw a stone in to the lake, the water splash away from the stone but later it comes back to the stone. When we play football on the wall, it come will back to us. In this way, if you do good or evil you will return them. That is natural law and the mainest of our religion.
4. In general, Buddha means Awakened One, someone who has awakened from the sleep of ignorance and sees things as they really are. The Buddha was a person who has eliminated from all faults and mental obstructions. There were many people who have become Buddhas in the past, and many people wil be able to become a Buddha in the future. There is nothing that the Buddha does not know. Moreover, the Buddha has great compassion which is completely impartial.
The Buddha has attained three kinds of Power. There are-
1. Pubbe-nivasanussati- remembrance of former existences power.
2. Dibba-cakkhu- divine eye power.
3. Asavakkhaya-extinction of all cankers power.
But most of the time He hasn’t used his powers to tame or control the people. The Buddha has used some time to make them devotional has faith in Dhamma. Moreover, the Buddha taught us the universal Truth and this is suffering; this is the arising of suffering; this is the ceasing of suffering; this is the approach to the ceasing of suffering. His teaching was basically simple and meaningful then to put an end to evil; to fulfil all good; to purify the mind. This is the advice of all the Buddhas. So, the Buddha is our benefactor and guide. That’s why we always have been respecting to Him. If someone has been beneficial we will have to be grateful to him. That is natural law.
I don’t have free time but if I haven’t been answering your questions you are going to experience difficult. So, I am answering as knowledge as English language. I think these answers enough for your questions.
I haven’t just been cleaver English language if weaking should abide me
I wish that all my Dhamma friends and kiths will have to be happy every time and then will be able to free from too much suffering in the world.
